How to copy iDocs from one system to another sytem?

Today I had a issue of iDocs being locked and this issue was in quality system. So I was not able to test my changes to fix the issue. So this amazing idea of copying the Idoc from Quality system to Development system came into my mind. But the problem is, is it even feasible to copy the IDocs between systems? Ok to find the solution I was searching SDN and other blogs. Then I found that there is a provision in Idoc test tool (tcode WE19) from where we can make a simple text file of the Idoc. So here is the Procedure: Go to transation WE19 and give the Idoc number. In the tool bar you will find a Inbound File button. Give the file name on application server where you want to store the file. Say /quality/local/tmp/sample_idoc.txt And be sure that “Start Idoc inbound processing of file immediately” is unchecked. This will copy the idoc into a file on application server. Download the text file to your desktop using TCODE CG3Y. Upload this file to the application server

Version Management and Comparison for SAP Smartform

Unfortunately there is no version comparison facility directly provided into SMARTFORMS t-code but there are ways to find older version. Use the below mentioned tricks to find the versions of the SMARTFORMS. Using SMARTFORMS t-code. Follow the below path to see all the versions of a smart form. Goto ->Object Directory Entry->Lock Overview. See below image for reference. Check STXFADM and STXFADMI tables. Copy the Function Module name generated by Smart form. Then go to SE37 Paste it. Go to Utilities->Version Management Use the Function Module SSF_READ_FORM to read all the form admin information. Go in Tcode SE03 -> Double click on Search for object in request/Task -> In the Object Selection type enter SSFO, then type your smart form’s name and Execute. It will show all the Requests related to this smart form.

Charts and Graphs in SAP ABAP!

In SAP most of the time we develop reports showing some analysis of data in mainly ALVs or List display. But the same data can be shown in Charts and Graphs. SAP has provided with some plotting functions to represent data in Graphs and Charts. There are Function modules for plotting graphs in 2D, 3D and even 4D!!! The FMs are: GRAPH_2D GRAPH_3D GRAPH_MATRIX GRAPH_MATRIX_2D GRAPH_MATRIX_3D GRAPH_MATRIX_4D The 3D matrix graph is more like a cube concept in Data warehousing where we can analyze data onto 3 different dimensions. The implementation of a 3D graph is in program below. I leave the implementation for 4D graphs to you. Do let me know how you implemented it?
